Sustain Sahel partners from West Africa and Europe were invited to submit their photos for display on the project’s website of the landscapes, farming practices and communities with which they will be working over the next five years to help drive sustainable agriculture, through the integration of crops, shrubs, and livestock.
Taken on recent country and field site visits to Senegal, Burkina Faso and Mali, the standard of images submitted for the internal competition was ‘extremely high’ says project co-ordinator Harun Cicek, who was a member of the visiting group. Meeting many stakeholders and farming communities, it was obvious to the teams that Sustain Sahel’s support of agri-practices that deliver effective interaction between crops, shrubs and livestock is supported and welcome by all.
The winning photos can be seen on the website’s photo gallery, as well as being utilised across the project’s website
