Agroforestry Symposium
Agroecology in Africa

As the SustainSahel project nears its conclusion, a symposium will be organized to share insights and outcomes, focusing on the better integration of agroforestry and livestock within Sahelian farming systems.
This event will bring together researchers, farmers, and stakeholders to discuss results from five years of research across Senegal, Burkina Faso and Mali and to further reflect on identified effective management approaches, the interplay between native trees, shrubs, crops and livestock, as well as the role of participatory trials in promoting sustainable agricultural practices.
The symposium will contribute to fostering collaboration and knowledge exchange, with the ambition of supporting actively the agroecological transition of farming systems in the Sahel.
