"Agroforestry Symposium" - May 2025 in Dakar, Sénégal to share the lessons from SustainSahel project

In collaboration with the final project meeting of SustainSahel, an Agroforestry Symposium will be organised by FiBL and other project partners on May 15, 2025 in Dakar, Sénégal, and online. Drawing from the results and lessons of five years of activities across Sénégal, Burkina Faso and Mali, this event will aim at sharing concrete recommendations to farmers and researchers on the topic. Panelists and participants will be invited to reflect on the outcomes of the project with the ambition of making them relevant for farmers to adopt the recommended practices as well as for researchers to address the identified research gaps.

FiBL and its partners in the SustainSahel project are inviting you to join this event and to contribute to further advancing the adoption and knowledge of integrated agroforestry practices in the Sahel region. The symposium will be organised at CIGASS-UCAD in Dakar, Sénégal, on May 15, 2025. It will also be possible to join the event online.

Practitioners, researchers, farmers and local actors are welcome to participate to the Agroforestry Symposium. This one-day event will be followed by a Policy Event on May 16, 2025 to continue the discussion with policy-makers an advocate for their support in implementing the formulated recommendations.
